Partners with a vision

More than a team of good lawyers.

Above all, these are people who understand one another and whose strengths fit together.

Maja Koršič Potočnik

Attorney-at-law, specialist

Maja Koršič Potočnik, head of the firm

Maja Koršič Potočnik, LL.M., is an attorney-at-law and partner at Potočnik in partnerke Law Firm and a specialist in public procurement, construction and commercial law. She advises and represents contracting authorities, tenderers and economic operators in demanding public procurement procedures, commercial disputes and construction projects, with a particular focus on FIDIC contracts. She is the author of the Slovenian handbook on the use of the FIDIC Red and Yellow Books, a member of the national list of FIDIC adjudicators, and a recognised lecturer and author of professional publications.

In her own words: "I can see a way through a situation almost at once. In this profession that is worth a great deal, because clients leave with answers rather than new doubts."

The team

The people behind the firm.

Maša Arko

Maša Arko

Attorney-at-law, public procurement

Maša Arko is an attorney-at-law who works daily on public procurement law at Potočnik in partnerke Law Firm. She advises contracting authorities and economic operators in demanding procurement procedures, writes professional articles and lectures regularly at public procurement training events. She also sits on the programme committees of two well-known Slovenian public procurement conferences.

In her own words: "I believe in being straight with people. That means speaking up when I want to be heard, and stepping back when I need to think about what I am going to say. I stand behind what I believe in, and it shows in everything I do."

Janja Pincolič

Janja Pincolič

Legal adviser, public procurement

Janja Pincolič holds a university degree in law and has passed the state bar examination. As a legal adviser she has worked in public procurement law for many years, advising contracting authorities as well as tenderers and economic operators. Her particular strength is long experience in business, where she came to know procurement through the eyes of a tenderer. She also helps prepare and deliver professional training and workshops.

In her own words: "I knew from an early age that my working life would have something to do with the law. Cracking a hard legal problem and finding the right answer has always appealed to me. People say I go at it analytically and methodically, with just enough practical sense to keep the answer usable."

Urša Ušeničnik

I believe in experience and in thinking things through. Years in law and in business have taught me that success usually rests on patience, precision and seeing the wider picture. I also believe in humour — the well-timed smile or remark that takes the tension out of a room and makes room for a better answer. I take on every challenge seriously, while knowing that lightness at the right moment can be the greatest strength of all.

Maša Zeme

Maša Zeme

Trainee attorney, public procurement

Maša Zeme is a trainee attorney at Potočnik in partnerke Law Firm, where she works in depth on public procurement. She advises, and assists in advising, contracting authorities and economic operators and in resolving legal questions connected with procurement, building her knowledge with the support of an experienced team.

In her own words: "At first sight I seem reserved and careful, which reflects how deliberately I am starting out in this profession. I want to learn, so I weigh up every option, and doubt is what leads me to better decisions. Through all of it I try not to lose sight of empathy, because the law is not only about finding the correct answer."

Daša Zeme

Daša Zeme

Trainee attorney

Daša Zeme is a trainee attorney. She began her legal career in private practice, where she gained valuable hands-on experience of complex legal questions.

At the firm she works in depth on public procurement law and construction law. She takes part in advising contracting authorities on running procedures lawfully and efficiently, and economic operators on preparing their tenders and seeking legal protection. In construction law she supports clients in drafting contracts and in resolving the legal challenges that arise during the delivery of construction projects.

In her own words: "Being open to new experience and sticking with things is what moves you forward. I try to keep a little humour in my work, because a genuine smile opens doors and builds bridges. What drives me is wanting to leave something positive behind, while still being able to look at each step from a lighter, more playful angle."

Whatever the weather, I cycle to work. Pouring rain or a headwind, nothing stops me. Running the administration of a law firm is rather like cycling across town in the rain — full of challenges you did not see coming, which I take on with enthusiasm and a pinch of humour. Every day brings new tasks and asks you to adapt quickly.

Leja Potočnik

I used to run the office administration, until a pull towards making things and towards dance took me in another direction. I have kept one foot in the office: I handle administrative work, edit video content and take part in creative projects. That way I get to watch my sister Maja's work up close and support her along the way.

Urša Žnidaršič

Urša Žnidaršič

Lawyer, construction, commercial and civil law

Urša Žnidaršič is a lawyer at Potočnik in partnerke Law Firm, working mainly in construction, commercial and civil law. She advises on construction projects and investments and on the drafting and negotiation of contracts. A significant part of her experience comes from working for an investor and developer of construction projects and from many years in a notary's office, which has given her a sound command of property law and of land registry and corporate status procedures.

In her own words: "I see the law as part of business strategy rather than a set of rules — a tool for getting where you want to go. So I come at every case with the whole picture in mind and a wish to understand the wider context. What guides my work is thoroughness, a calm head and a practical approach."
